Sign language and toilet paper.

When I first arrived in China Skyler told me (very casually, I thought) I should learn the finger positions for numbers and to always carry toilet paper.

I learned my lesson about carrying t.p. in the worst way (and I thought Mexico was bad), and soon thereafter realized my mistake in not learning how to convey numbers. (No, I wanted 10 eggs, not 10 kilos of eggs.)

This clip shows Sky demonstrating the finger positions for numbers.

  1. What I don't understand is why on earth you would be buying EGGS. Surely you didn't need MORE eggs?

  3. lol yes I WAS buying eggs - I didn't even think about the auntie's eggs. What happened was there was a brief few days between the three hundred egss gone and two hundred eggs delivered when Guy and I wanted to make Sky a Mexican breakfast. I had given Guy a grocery list before he came over which included fresh flour tortillas, salsa and cheese. So we scrambled up some eggs with onions and fresh jalepenos etc. rolled in tortillas. Sky was in heaven.
